Archiving

new

All videos and the associated production data must be archived for the long term and made available for further use at a later date. For this purpose, both the uncompressed original data and compressed functional versions must be provided in the MTU Mediapool.

The following data must be stored in the Mediapool:

  • Finished video
  • Clean version of the finished video
  • Selects reel of raw material sequences

The selects reel contains a selection of the best and most relevant raw material sequences of a project. It’s employed for any subsequent reuse, editing, or adaptation of existing content and is taken from the original camera material and consolidated.

The uncompressed original data is used for high-quality archiving and subsequent processing. A compressed MP4 version is also to be provided, which will be used as a preview and as a functional version in the Mediapool and is suitable for social media applications as well.
