Type area analog Media

new

A fixed type area was defined for a uniform and balanced design; for example, the DIN A4 format: 24 mm on the outside, 12 mm on the inside and top, and 22.5 mm on the bottom. These proportions ensure a calm, harmonious page image.

The page is divided into 12 columns, with a fixed column spacing (gutter) of 12 pt (4.233 mm). The vertical structure of the text and image elements is based on this column grid. In terms of height, the use of images and surfaces is oriented to the horizontal design grid, which is based on a 6-point grid. To ensure a uniform design, digital InDesign templates can be used.

Headlines, copy texts, and graphic elements consistently follow this structure. To facilitate subsequent design work, the grid was deliberately kept clear, modular, and not too complex. This delivers a consistent, flexible, and visually organized design across all pages and formats.

Grid Website

In digital applications, the unit of measurement used is specified in pixels. The website has a fixed grid, which is invisible to the viewer, consisting of 12 columns. The gutter is 40 px, and the margins are 250 px each.
